  1. People have personalities now

    Everyone in the city is stoic, warm, wry, anxious, devout, bitter, dutiful or a dreamer, and talks that way about what is happening: the storm, the Furnace, a death, the vote, the cold in your bones.

  2. New questions when they matter

    Ask how bad the storm will be, how someone will vote and why, where to warm up or get patched up, or just how they are holding up.

  3. The Hearth's panel no longer spills over when the stores are full.
