Posters on the city's walls
The Council's posters remind everyone to feed the flame, stay in the ring and run for warmth when the siren sounds, and the Watch has put up WANTED notices for the raiders of the Frostlands.
Jobs point to where the work is
A mining job marks the nearest rocks with that ore, and any rock you mine counts. A timber job marks the nearest trees. A job to bring something shows where it is found before where it goes: ore at its rocks, logs among the trees, meat, leather and fat on the wolves or a bear, fish at the coast.
